Dear Mr. Anderson,
I truly appreciate having met you in person last week. I cannot pretend to know you, but recognize the light in your eyes as it resonates with my inner sense of purpose. I write to you in a familiar hand that I hope you will find refreshing as opposed to unprofessional or odd.
As you sat before me with your team and looked for their response and input to our project, I witnessed your quiet humility, your compassion, your encouragement and your obvious affection toward those around you. You radiate the things I want to radiate: peace, acceptance, well being, a sense of satisfaction and alertness. You seem to have found your permanent voice.
You have knowingly made your mark on the world in a way that will inspire generations and you are revolutionizing the way business gets done. For me, and so many who care about action, change, environmental consciousness, and ultimately preserving our planet, you inspire awe. It is clear that the problems of the world still affect you and I do not assume that you are “finished” with your life’s work, but instead I wonder if you consider it just begun? One can only hope, as it will take leaders like you to inspire the rest.
Our meeting had me think even more about my role in accelerating this process. The plan I presented to you is the path that I feel most drawn toward. Working with children and parents, to help them understand and identify their own unique gifts and contributions, inspires me. I know that parental love combined with a child’s “can do” attitude, natural sense of wonderment and imagination will make for a powerful team in impacting the overall betterment of the planet. My goal today and each day, is to be a catalyst for change.
My mission is to continue to invite a like-minded community of individuals, professionals, educators, leaders and investors to participate in making The Earth Savers Gang a reality. My dream is that children worldwide will unite in this possibility, inspiring and educating each other into action and awareness. I write to you requesting your help. I would like to know if you would be willing to provide an endorsement. In addition, I would like to explore sponsorship, funding opportunities, and your involvement individually or on a corporate level.
I would also like to consider you a mentor, partner or coach in my efforts. Thank you for daring to make a difference. You are truly inspiring.
